Gerardo was born in Mexico, on april 25, 1990. He picked up the guitar at age 14 and started playing punk songs that was his first influence, until he discovered a CD of Dream Theater that was on his brothers’ room (Images and Words). He was so influenced by it that he started to practice around 10-12 hours a day so he could play the songs. He had such a passion for it that he would dedicate almost the whole day playing guitar, didn’t go out with friends, barely ate just to keep playing.

At age 16 he won a bands competition and best guitarist award playing a cover of Symphony X. He studied at Berklee College of Music at age 19. At age 21, he moved to Mexico City and won 1st place guitarist at his music school in Mexico City. Gerardo has been influenced by Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, John Petrucci, Yngwie Malmsteen and Guthrie Govan. He formed Thy Station with co-worker Andre on 2016 and he’s been working on the band since then.
